In addition to serving on the Board of Directors, Bill is also a valuable member of the planning committee for the Walk-a-Thons. |

Ronald C. Slyter
Vice President of Operations – Community Care Services for Henry Ford Health System; Ron is an experienced health care executive with a strong background in a variety of financial management and strategic planning arenas. Ron’s diverse experiences with accounting, management and administration will surely prove to be an asset to MPF’s Board of Directors. |

Professional Advisory Board Welcomes New Member
Kelvin Chou, MD, Director, Deep Brain Stimulation Clinic and Assistant Professor, Department of Neurology, University of Michigan Medical Center. Dr. Chou received his medical training from the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed his residency in Neurology and Fellowship in Movement Disorders from the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bauer Research Award goes to MSU Researcher
The Professional Advisory Board selected a research study, “Aged Synaptosomal Mitochondira as a Target of Parkinsonian Neurotoxins,” by Dr. Deong-Woon Yu, Assistant Professor, Department of Neurology and Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State University to receive the Bauer Research Award of $20,000 for a period of two years. It is hoped that this study will contribute to the understanding of the pathology and treatment of Parkinson’s disease.
