2009 ANNUAL WALK-A-THON/5K RUN EVENTS
Michigan Parkinson Foundation
Walk-a-thon Locations:
May 16, 2009 – St. Clair Shores
May 17, 2009 – Northville, Maybury State Park
Participants will walk on a level track or run on a marked route. Both events are stroller, wheelchair, dog and child friendly.
Event Day!
Registration for ALL Participants: 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Opening Ceremonies begin at 10:45 a.m.
Run / Walk / Stroll begins at 11:00 a.m.
Prizes
Runner Prizes awarded to:
• Fastest Adult Female Runner
• Fastest Adult Male Runner
• Fastest Youth Runner (age 12-17)
• Fastest Youngster Runner (age 11 and younger)
• Fastest Runner with a Stroller
Other Prizes include
• Cutest Parkinson’s Pet (dress your pet to impress)
• All Participants are entered to win great raffle prizes
Activities
Each day will host great entertainment, delicious
snacks and lots of child friendly activities, including
clowns, face painting and Big Bouncer (sponsored by
Bobby’s Bouncers).

2008 Walk-a-Thon and 5K Run |
The 2008 I Gave My Sole for Parkinson’s Walk-a-Thon and
5K Run was another great success! The weather for both June 7th at South
Lake Schools and on June 8th at Maybury State Park could not have been better
for the more than 1,000 participants and friends who hit the track and trails
