2014 A Night Of A Thousand Stars Event
The 2014 Night of A Thousand Stars (November 8, 2014) was again held at the beautiful St. John's Conference and Banquet Center in Southfield. What an enjoyable evening for the 200 guests who came. Carol Green, humorist, was the emcee this year and kept the ball rolling from the opening to close. The Cosmic Groove band was exciting and added to the festivities. Terrye Mock and Cheryl McIlhon, professional dancers who are conducting dance classes for people with Parkinson's, led their students in a demonstration of what fun dance can be. It was great to see the smiles of those who participated. Subi Bhandari again was our photographer (see photos of this year's event below), and HOUR Magazine was the media sponsor and featured photos of the event on their website.
This year, in addition to the silent auction, a Chinese Raffle, cash raffle and Lottery lottery were held, helping Michigan Parkinson Foundation to gross more than $44,000! Thank you to everyone who contributed. A special thanks to the sponsors:
We are fortunate to have spectacular volunteers on the planning committee:
